Eric Cressey’s Medicine Ball Training Master Class
Medicine balls are one of the most potent tools for developing power. They can be used in training outdoors, indoors, in limited space, and with groups of any size. However, although medicine balls are used often and by many coaches, most medicine ball programs are not set up to optimally get the most out of the tool and athlete. Most information on medicine balls are just a bunch of random exercises. There aren’t any good medicine ball programs out there that show you exactly what to do and how to use them properly…until now.
Coach Eric Cressey will address how to develop an optimum medicine ball training system for your athletes.
His topic covers his entire medicine ball training system. Coach Cressey will dive into:
1. The Case for Medicine Ball Work 2. The Challenges of Specificity in Rotational Sport Athletes 3. The Force-Velocity Curve 4. Building a Yearly Calendar 5. Exercise Categorization and Progressions/Regressions 6. Coaching Cues 7. Limitations to Rotational Power 8. “Filler” Strategies
If you know Eric Cressey, you understand the high level of information he will be providing, both scientific and in-the-trenches information from one of the top sports performance coaches in the world. It’s more than just a bunch of med ball exercises thrown together, it’s his own system. Who better to do a deep dive with on exactly how he uses medicine balls in his own training systems?
